About Jainism

Jainism is the oldest religion in India. Jainism is the meaning – the religion by jin. Those who are followers of Jain are called Jains. The word “jin” means that who won his mind, speech, and his work, and acquired absolute knowledge by acquiring specific knowledge, he is called Jainswar or jin is called.
                    Jainism, a religion that has the essence of non-violence, was founded by Sh. Rishabha Dev Ji. It became a major religion under Vardhman Mahavira who was the 24th Tirathankar of Jain Dharma. Vardhman Mahavira was a Great Kshatriya belonging to the royal family of Magadha. He was born at Kundgram in Bihar. At the age of 42, he attained perfect knowledge-Kaivalya.  The Doctroine of Jainism stresses on the attainment of Nirvana i.e. release from rebirth through Triratna that consists of

  •  Right Faith
  • Right Knowledge
  •  Right Conduct
    Jainism favours Ahimsa in word, thought and deed. Most of all it advocates belief in karma through dismissal of rituals.
